Biography
- David Kirtlan, MMus, BA (Hons), ALCM, PGCE

David studied music at the University of Nottingham,
before continuing his education at the University of Leeds for
a Masters
Degree. Here he focused on composing and resarching music for
television and film. He is currently working part-time towards
a PhD at
the University of

David
is a certified Apple Trainer for Logic music production software,
and has established the first
Apple Authorised Training Centre for Logic in Europe.

In
addition to scoring several short films, David's Presto e
Cantabile for Flugelhorn and Piano has been published by Kirklees
Music. He has also worked with a local playwright on an original
musical, Qwerty. More details can be found on these

He
is currently the Deputy Head of the School
of Intermedia and Performance Arts at University Centre,
Doncaster, where
he
is involved
in teaching various aspects of the music and music technology
degree
programmes. His teaching focuses on aspects of composition
and computer music production, as well as studying and composing
music for the moving
image.
